This review comes from our newest contributor, 10 year-old Skylar Lovdahl. How did she get the gig? Nepotism of course! Her father wanted to give a different perspective on comics, that from a young girl, and she was pretty much the only candidate interviewed for the job.
High school stinks. From people spying on you so they can be better than you, to all the competition of who going to get the part in the play, to even the mean girls taking up the spotlight.
They’re having a school play and Troy makes his girlfriend Gabriella try out so they can sing together. Troy gets the part but Gabriella doesn’t. Instead the mean girl, Sharpay, gets the part. Gabriella is now the co-director so she can still be with Troy.
The comic was written by Alessandro Ferrari (sounds like a cars movie name). The art is by GG studios. The comic book was okay but I prefer the movie. Mostly, I don’t like the artwork. I think it looks cheesy. I don’t like that in the background it’s shadows instead of color. I don’t think it’s very detailed. I think Sharpay’s smile is creeeeepyyyy! And, anyways, Sharpay doesn’t even have bangs in the movie.
I especially don’t like how you have to buy another comic to finish it. But I will do it anyways to see what happens because I still like the story.
